Ibiza villages
Ibiza town still has the best shopping on the island in spite of not enough parking spaces. Take a trip round the town’s fashionable streets of Bartolome Rosello, Vara de Rey and the many small streets. Tourists love the famous Marina area, with its many trendy bars of course D’alt Villa which is an absolute must.
San Antonio is an archetypal package tour town with a terrible reputation, but is actually not that bad in winter, when all the tourists are gone and you can enjoy stroll along the waterfront.
San Carlos in the Northeast of the island, has a hippie heritage, which you’ll be glad to hear is still alive and well. The ‘Las Dalias’ bar/restaurant/ market complex still has a ‘joss-sticks and flares’ atmosphere with concerts of ’60s music. Anita’s bar was the original hippie hideaway and the lovely coves on the nearby coast are the perfect getaway from it all trip.
San Jose is a typical Spanish village with many wonderful cafes, bars, shops and restaurants with great cuisine. The village is located on the South West of the island with many of the best and most beautiful beaches a short drive away.
San Juan is an other typical Spanish village with some cafes, bars and shops. The village is located in the North of the island close to some of the most remote and less crowded beaches on the island.
San Rafael – The village plays host to some of Ibiza’s best ceramics workshops, specialising in Phoenician style pottery. Can Pilot is one of the island’s most popular country restaurants. El Ayoun is a great place if you are looking for a restaurant with party atmosphere.
